- Shipment
Tourists can travel by sea from Cambodia to Thailand via Hat Lek in Trat Privince of Thailand, or take a boat from Kawthoung I Myanmar’s Tanintharyi Division to Ranong port of Thailand via the Gulf of Martaban and Pakchan estuary. An express boat runs along the Mekong River between Sop Ruck in Chiang Rai and China’s Yunnan. Also you can take a ferry from Laos to Thailand at the following points: Beung Kan, Nakhon Phanom, Chiang Khong and Mukdahan.
- Bus
It is only possible for Laos and Malaysia at the moment to enter Thailand via bus. The bus will stop at a Thai immigration post at the point of entry so that each foreigner can receive an entry stamp in their passport. Thai visas are not normally included I bus fares.
- Car
Vehicles can be brought into Thailand for tourist purposes for up to six months. The needed documents include a valid International Driving Permit, passport, vehicle registration papers and a cash or bank guarantee equal to the value of the vehicle plus 20%.
