Wat Saket

Wat Saket, known for the Golden Mount or Phu Khao Thong, a high hill that offers stunning views at its summit over Rattanakosin Island, can be visible from Th Ratchadamnoen. In the temple hall sits a grand Buddha which is the largest copper Buddha in Thailland. You can follow the steps up to the peak of temple to appreciate a breezy 360-degree view of Bangkok’s most photogenic side. 
An annual festival is held at Wat Saket every November, featuring a candlelight procession up Phu Khao Thong to the Chedi, gathering Buddhist from all over the country, which is very remarkably bustling and prosperous. Phu Khao Thong is now a popular Bangkok tourist attraction and has become one of the symbols of the city.
