Unlike the other countries, e.g. Thailand, in Indochina, Laos don't have too many gorgeous and exquisite attractions, but no one will look down upon this country since it preserves the most primitive nature, the most purest brief of Buddhism, and the most easygoing lifestyle. Unconsciously you will be immersed in a real and simple world in Laos.
- Kuang Si Waterfalls
- A spectacular natural creation shaped by many cascades resulting in typical travertine waterfalls.
- Mount Phousi
- The highest point in the Luang Prabang with splendid views and a golden stupa on the top.
- Pak Ou Caves
- Noted for thousands of Buddha statues and statuettes in the traditional Luang Prabang style.
- Four Thousand Islands
- Named as Si Phan Don, a riverine archipelago located in the Mekong River with thousands of islands.
- Nam Khan River
- A lazy river past Luang Prabang in Laos, also a good spot for kayaking.
- Nam Ou River
- One of the most important rivers in Laos, with fantastic limestone mountains, near the famous Pak Oo Caves.
- Tad Sae Waterfalls
- One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Luang Prabang, which is suitable to swim in and offer great photo opportunities.
- Khone Phapheng Waterfalls
- Considered as the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia, featured by thousands of islands and countless waterways.
- Bolaven Plateau
- Located in Southern Laos, known for many spectacular waterfalls and villages of the ethnic minorities.
- Nam Song River
- A small river through Vang Vieng town, featuring the karst rock formations and primitive Laotian countryside.
