Mount Phousi
Mount Phousi, also known as Phou Sii Hill, is one of the must-see attractions at Luang Prabang in Laos.
Aside from the splendid views (although it was a tad hazy when we visited), in Mount Phousi there are a few sights to snoop at while you’re there, including Wat Pa Huak with a stupa and pretty sim, the golden stupa on top of the hill, a small chapel, Wat Phra Buddabhat, the Buddha’s footprint temple with a seated Buddha image in a grotto, and Kuan Ou, the Goddess of the Waters shrine.
As Mount Phousi is the highest point in town, you can see an amazing panoramic view of the whole town. Sunrises and sunsets can be spectacular here; especially when floodlit at night, the stupa is amazing and seems to float in the hazy air.
