Longji Rice Terraces

Built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountain top, Longji Rice Terraces is an ingenious originality that makes the utmost of the scarce arable land and water resources in the mountainous area. It has many changing appearances in different seasons and the best times for appreciating the charming natural scenes of it is when the grain is in the ear and during Middle-Autumn.

Regarded as "The champion of the terrace world", Longji Terraces are located in Longsheng which is located in the mountainous region in the northeastern part of Guilin and known for the natural beauty and the colorful ethnic cultures and customs. Most of the residents living in Longji village are Zhuang minority.
