6 Days Southern Thailand Exploration Tour

Meet you at airport or hotel, depart for Kanchanaburi, the famous World War II site. 

Visit the Bridge Over the River Kwai, the track is developed into a walkway with side platforms. This allows crossing the railway bridge on foot. These platforms are useful as viewpoints and for avoiding trains. A small tourist train runs back and forth across the bridge. 

Continue to Petchburi. Visit the Khao Luang cave with its many worshiped Buddha statues which are lined up at the foot of the rock wall. Climb uphill to see the King Mongkut's Summer Palace (closed on MON / TUE  & public holidays) and visit Wat Maha Dhat and Wat Koh. Continue to Cha Am, a coastal town in the Gulf of Thailand.

Depart to Prachuap Khiri Khan. Along the way, visit a workshop producing paper from pineapple leaves. You not only watch the process of making paper, you may even get a hands-on trial at this unusual craft. 

Visit Khao Chong Krajok, located on an idyllic bay flanked by mountain cliffs. Climb to a small pagoda on a hill. Having climbed the 386 steps up from the beach, you will be rewarded by the beautiful panorama of  this quiet fishing town. 

Continue the 280km journey to Ranong - this stretch of the journey offers view attractions apart from rural sceneries  and landscapes. 

Visit the busy fishing pier and take a short boat trip to Victoria Point, the southernmost town in Myanmar (Burma) and a bustling trading port. Continue the journey through beautiful mountain landscapes to Krabi, where you will arrive in the evening.

Go to Ko Poda Island and to Pranang Cave by long tail boat with Opportunity for swimming and snorkeling. In the afternoon, visit to Wat Tham Sua, a temple carved into a cave.

Depart Krabi for Phang-Nga province. A short stop is made at Tharn Bokkorani National Park where walking paths and wooden bridges lead  along streams and over small waterfalls. Continue to Suwan Ku Ha Cave with its numerous Buddha statues. 

Proceed to the boat landing pier and take a boat trip through one of the Most stunning parts of Thailand, Phang Nga Bay. Hundreds of odd-shaped  limestone formations rise from the water, often covered with tropical vegetation, some of them are just tiny rocks, others form larger islands. This is the area where the famous James Bond film "The Man with the Golden Gun"was shot. 

Visit the Moslem village of Ko Panyi, build on stilts out in the open sea,  where you will be served a delicious seafood lunch. 

Return to the pier on the mainland and continue by bus to Phuket. Over night stay in Phuket.
