On arrival greet with ceremonial reception. Transfer to Thimhpu,capital of Bhutan, by coach about 1.5hours. Enroute stop at the three stupa convergence point. See the stupas of the three religions line alongside each other exactly on the focal point where Paro River and Thimphu River converge into one that flows out to the Indian River. Check into hotel.
Visit 13 art and craft school and drive to visit TashiChhoDzong, the capital Dzong and the office of King and the religious head ”JeyKhenpo” . Evening scenic drive to Takin reserve. (National Animal “Takin”)
Free time at leisure or you can take a stroll in the local craft market, where you will find local authentic craft from all over Bhutan. Overnight at Thimphu.
Today, we drive to the ancient capital of Bhutan Punakha about 3hours (80kms). This rustic city is still used for official functions till today. Stop for tea at the Dochula Pass while looking at the snow capped Eastern Himalayas.
Hike for 45 minutes to get blessed by a giant Phallus at the Chime Lakhang Fertility Monastery. Popularly known as “Devine mad man” Continue your drive to try Chili Cheese Casserole, a Bhutanese delicacy. Overnight at Punakha.
Morning visit the Punakha Dzong, is built between two rivers mo chu(female river)and male rive(male river). Shop for handicrafts at the souvenir production center.
Continue drive for Thimphu, on the way stop for tea at Dochula pass. evening visit traditional paper factory and textile weaving at Changzamtok.
Morning visit tallest Buddha also you can spend some time walk pass newly opened Authentic Craft market and drive to Paro, Vsit the Paro Rimpong Dzong, where Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves shot the movie, “Little Buddha”.
Take great pictures while wearing their national costumes, the “Kira” and the “Gho ”. Learn more about their culture and history at the Paro Museum and stroll through Paro Bazaar. Witness an Archery Match- the National Sports of Bhutan.
