1 Day Bago(Pegu) Excursion Tour

Pick you up at hotel about 8:30am in Yangon, drive to Bago about 1 hour (60kms).

Bago, a former port and capital, was founded in the year of 825 by two Mon princes. 

Morning visit Kyakhatwine Monastery, with over 1,000 monks studying Buddhist literature.

Shwemawdaw Pagoda is often referred to as the Golden God Temple. At 375 feet in height, it holds the record for the tallest pagoda in the country.

Continue on to Hinthargone Pagoda, where you can see the Nat Shrine.

Afternoon visit Shwethalyung Buddha image, one of the country’s most revered objects. At the nearby Bogo Market, local agricultural products are on sale.

Head to Kyaikpun Pagoda, the home to the Four Seated Buddha shrine sitting back to back to four directions.

On the way back to Yangon, visit Htaukkyan War Cemetery, which houses the graves of more than 27,000 Allied soldiers.

Return to Yangon and back to your hotel at 5:00pm.
